Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-09-13 · This page is written in English.

This policy explains when a paid aix0 product can be refunded, how the amount is worked out, and how to cancel a subscription. It is the refund policy referred to in Section 4 of the Terms of Service and forms part of your agreement with aix0.

1. Who sells, and who refunds

Payments for aix0 are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Your counterparty in the transaction is Paddle, invoices and receipts are issued by Paddle, and Paddle pays refunds out. We decide under this policy whether a refund is approved and what it comes to.

You can contact us directly through the feedback page in the app, or contact Paddle through the link in your Paddle receipt. Both routes reach the same outcome.

2. What we sell

We sell two kinds of digital product, both delivered inside your account the moment payment succeeds. They are consumed differently, which is why they are refunded differently:

  • Credit packs: bought once, spent per generation, and used until they run out. A pack adds credits only; it does not change your output quality ceiling.
  • Subscription plans and prepaid memberships: sold by the period. The moment a period starts, daily credits begin arriving and the higher quality ceiling is unlocked.

Credits are deducted on each successful generation. Credits are not a stored-value instrument: they cannot be exchanged, withdrawn, or transferred.

3. Credit packs: refunded for what is left unspent

Within 14 days of payment, a credit pack can be refunded in proportion to the credits you have not spent.

Credits already spent are deducted from the refund rather than returned. They bought generations that really ran, and the cost we paid our model providers for them was really incurred.

The arithmetic is: refund = amount paid × unspent credits ÷ credits the purchase granted. For example, a 500-credit pack bought for $12.99 with 200 credits spent refunds 300 ÷ 500 × $12.99 = $7.79. A pack you have not touched at all is refunded in full.

When the refund is approved, the credits still left from that purchase are withdrawn at the same time. You will not both keep the credits and have the money back.

4. Plans and prepaid memberships: not refundable, cancellable at any time

Monthly plans, annual plans and one-off prepaid memberships are not refundable.

They are sold by the period: once a period begins, daily credits start arriving day by day and the higher quality ceiling is already unlocked, and neither can be taken back. The normal way to control what you spend is to cancel rather than to ask for a refund - see Section 7. Cancelling leaves the period you have paid for running to its end, so you lose none of the days you bought.

Not having used the plan is not a ground for a refund. What a plan sells is the credit allowance and the higher quality ceiling for that period, and both are in place from the moment you pay. They do not fail to happen because you did not open the studio.

Two things still get refunded. One is where the law requires it. The other is a duplicate charge, or a prolonged outage during a period you had paid for.

A duplicate charge is refunded in full - it was never money we should have taken. A prolonged outage is prorated by the days remaining: refund = amount paid × days left ÷ days in the period. Days already elapsed are not refunded - you had the plan on those days.

Once such a refund is approved the plan or membership ends immediately, and the credits still left from that order are withdrawn with it.

5. Failed generations need no refund request

A failed generation is never charged. Credits are held when a task is submitted, deducted only on success, and released back to your balance in full on failure, normally at the moment the task ends. You do not need to ask, and it is not a refund.

If you see credits deducted for a failed task, that is a defect rather than the policy. Tell us.

6. What is not refundable

  • Dissatisfaction with a generated result. Generative output is inherently variable - that is a property of the service - and the studio shows the estimated cost before you confirm.
  • Credits already spent, whether they came from a pack or from a plan.
  • Plans and prepaid memberships, outside the two cases in Section 4.
  • A plan or membership you bought and did not use. What you bought was availability, and it was delivered when you paid; see Section 4.
  • Daily credits that expired unused within a period. Daily credits expire with the billing period and do not accumulate, as the purchase page states.
  • Unused credits in an account terminated for breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Free signup credits and any other credits that were never paid for.

7. Cancelling a subscription

A subscription renews until you cancel it. You can cancel it yourself on the billing page in the app - you do not need to contact us, and you do not need to go through Paddle.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: the period you have already paid for stays yours in full, its entitlements and daily credits continue to be granted, and nothing is charged after it ends. Cancelling does not by itself produce a refund, and the credits already in your account are untouched.

If the billing page shows nothing to cancel - a prepaid membership simply expires on its own - or if cancelling keeps failing, use the feedback page in the app.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel first, then request deletion.

8. Your statutory rights

In some countries and regions consumers have a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right for digital products. By purchasing you agree that we begin supplying the service and deliver it immediately, which in some jurisdictions affects how that right applies.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits a statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where a statutory right conflicts with this policy, the statutory right prevails.

9. How to ask, and how long it takes

Use the feedback page in the app, giving the order reference or your receipt, the email address used for the purchase, and the reason for the request.

We respond within 5 business days of receiving a request, and the reply sets out the amount we have arrived at and the arithmetic behind it.

Once approved, Paddle pays out; funds normally reach the original payment method in the original currency within 3 to 10 business days, though the exact timing depends on your card issuer or payment method.

A refund is calculated from the amount actually charged on the original transaction. Exchange-rate movement and any fee your own payment method charges are outside what we can cover.

10. Chargebacks

If a charge looks wrong to you, contact us first. Raising a chargeback directly freezes the account involved until the dispute is resolved, and most problems we can settle faster than that.

11. Changes and contact

We may revise this policy. A revision does not affect a purchase you completed before it took effect.
